1. Purpose

This document defines the current working visual, branding, and content standards for STAR SIM, including STAR SIM: BEYOND SPACE.

It is intended for anyone creating marketing graphics, social media content, video content, livestreams, thumbnails, website materials, promotional edits, branded overlays, or broadcast content.

Where this document conflicts with earlier STAR SIM branding notes, this document takes precedence.

Approved source materials should always be used when available. Do not recreate logos, graphics, animations, or other established brand assets unnecessarily.

2. Color Palette

The current STAR SIM palette is built around deep blues with controlled orange and red accents.

Dark Blue

HEX: #21314F

Primary dark foundation.

Recommended for backgrounds, large structural fields, dark panels, footer areas, and framing elements.

Medium Blue

HEX: #304C7A

Primary active blue.

Recommended for major graphic fields, panels, branded sections, and interface-inspired graphics.

Light Blue

HEX: #4A668D

Secondary support blue.

Recommended for secondary panels, dividers, supporting elements, and lighter graphic accents.

Medium Orange

HEX: #E06236

Primary warm accent.

Recommended for calls to action, directional emphasis, active highlights, and important graphic accents.

Light Orange

HEX: #D7A64B

Secondary warm accent.

Recommended for softer highlights, secondary emphasis, badges, and detail work.

Red

HEX: #C72138

Limited-use emphasis color.

Recommended for danger, hostile states, warnings, and high-tension accents.

Color Principle

STAR SIM should remain primarily blue-based, with orange used to direct attention and red reserved for exceptional or hostile emphasis.

Do not allow accent colors to overwhelm the core blue identity.

3. Typography

Logo Type

The STAR SIM logo was customized from Orbitron.

DO NOT USE ORBITRON ANYWHERE ELSE.

Do not use Orbitron for headlines, body copy, social graphics, video graphics, print, web, or supporting branding.

Do not use Eurostile as a substitute.

Reusing similar typography outside the logo weakens the distinctiveness of the STAR SIM identity.

Rajdhani

Primary STAR SIM typeface

Use Rajdhani for most headlines, subheads, body copy, informational graphics, web copy, video text, and supporting branded material.

Rajdhani is a Google Font and should be the default choice unless a specific branded treatment calls for something else.

Use restraint with extreme weights or overly stylized treatments.

Digis Cosmo

Specialty display typeface

Primary established use:

YOU GO!

Digis Cosmo may also be used for occasional specialty text where a distinctive branded treatment is appropriate.

It should not replace Rajdhani as the general STAR SIM typeface.

6. Video Content Assets

All current STAR SIM video materials are stored here:

STAR SIM Video Content Repository

Anyone creating STAR SIM video content should download this package and become familiar with the available materials before beginning an edit.

This is especially recommended for editors working in Adobe Premiere Pro.

7. Video Format Rules

Two primary video formats are provided.

16:9

Use for YouTube, Bethesda Game Studios / Creations material, website video, livestreams, standard horizontal video platforms, and traditional video presentations.

9:16

Use for Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, Reels, Shorts, and other vertical-video platforms.

Important

Do not confuse the 16:9 and 9:16 packages.

Assets are composed specifically for their intended format.

Do not simply drop a 16:9 graphic treatment into a vertical composition, or vice versa, unless it is deliberately being redesigned for that format.

8. Animated Brand Assets

Animated STAR SIM tags and logos are available in both 16:9 and 9:16.

Alpha-channel versions are provided for use over existing content.

These may be used for pre-recorded Let’s Plays, promotional videos, social content, livestream packages, tutorials, feature videos, and other branded video content.

Use supplied assets rather than rebuilding animations from scratch.

9. Image Assets

All current STAR SIM image materials are stored here:

STAR SIM Image Repository

Available materials include video thumbnails, a thumbnail PSD template for future content, website screengrabs, promotional imagery, PNG overlays, and graphics with alpha channels.

Use alpha-enabled PNG assets where appropriate when layering STAR SIM graphics over screenshots, video, or other promotional material.

10. Logo Assets

All current STAR SIM and BEYOND SPACE logo materials are stored here:

STAR SIM Logo Repository

Available materials include:

  • STAR SIM logo
  • STAR SIM: BEYOND SPACE logo
  • Still versions
  • Animated versions
  • Alpha-channel versions
  • Versions suitable for luma or chroma keying

Preferred Method

Use the alpha-channel versions whenever possible.

Luma-key and chroma-key versions are provided when required by a particular production workflow, but they should not be the first choice when proper transparency is available.

11. Broadcast Materials

STAR SIM broadcast bumper materials are stored here:

STAR SIM Broadcast Materials

Looping Slideshow with Audio

Designed to run before a livestream or scheduled broadcast.

Purpose:

  • Establish branding
  • Give arriving viewers something intentional to watch
  • Confirm that stream audio is functioning
  • Allow viewers time to gather before the program begins

STAR SIM: BEYOND SPACE Bumper

Designed to open the actual broadcast, transition into talent or program content, and close the broadcast.

12. Recommended Broadcast Sequence

Approximately 10 Minutes Before Showtime

Run:

SSIMBS – Looping SlideShow w Music

This should remain running while viewers arrive.

It also provides an immediate confirmation that broadcast audio is functioning.

At Showtime

Run:

SSIMBS – BUMPER – 16×9

Then transition directly to talent or primary content.

During Program

Proceed with the planned livestream, presentation, Let’s Play, demonstration, or other content.

End of Program

Talent should conclude with an appropriate thank-you or closing statement.

Then run:

SSIMBS – BUMPER – 16×9

Optional Post-Show

If the stream needs to remain live temporarily after the formal program concludes, return to:

SSIMBS – Looping SlideShow w Music

Then end the broadcast when appropriate.

13. Content Workflow

  1. Check the current asset repositories.
  2. Download the appropriate logo, graphic, video, and font packages.
  3. Determine whether the finished material is 16:9 or 9:16.
  4. Build with the assets designed for that format.
  5. Use Rajdhani as the default supporting typeface.
  6. Reserve Digis Cosmo for YOU GO! and other approved specialty uses.
  7. Never recreate the STAR SIM logo with Orbitron.
  8. Prefer supplied alpha-channel logo and overlay assets.
  9. Maintain consistency with the established STAR SIM palette.
  10. When in doubt, use the supplied branded material rather than inventing a new treatment.

14. Core Brand Rules

Do

  • Use current approved assets.
  • Keep STAR SIM visually recognizable.
  • Favor the blue palette with controlled warm accents.
  • Use Rajdhani as the general-purpose STAR SIM font.
  • Use Digis Cosmo selectively.
  • Preserve supplied transparency whenever possible.
  • Use the correct materials for the final aspect ratio.
  • Keep graphics clear, deliberate, and readable.

Do Not

  • Use Orbitron outside the STAR SIM logo.
  • Use Eurostile as a supporting STAR SIM font.
  • Casually redraw or rebuild the logo.
  • Mix horizontal and vertical packages without adapting them properly.
  • Stretch, distort, or unnecessarily modify supplied logos.
  • Overload compositions with unnecessary graphics.
  • Ignore existing assets and reinvent established branded elements.

15. Working Principle

STAR SIM branding should feel consistent without becoming restrictive.

The goal is not to make every piece of content identical.

The goal is to make every piece of content unmistakably STAR SIM.

Use the established assets.

Respect the format.

Keep it clear.

Then make something worth looking at.
