What is Quarter Onion Games?
Quarter Onion Games is an independent studio founded in 2017 in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. We craft addictive, fun Creations as part of Bethesda’s Verified Creators program. We’re currently working on the space-simulation overhaul StarSim and have previous launched the space mining-focused Mining Conglomerate.
What is StarSim?
StarSim is a major Starfield Creation developed by Quarter Onion Games as part of Bethesda’s Verified Creators program. It overhauls and expands Starfield’s space systems into a full immersive space simulation, centered on a gate network that makes space the primary, seamless exploration path for the entire game. Players fly the gates to reach every quest, every handcrafted POI, and every storyline, keeping the flow continuous and intuitive while the network itself becomes the natural backbone of travel and progression. Hand-crafted planetary orbits, reworked space combat (including large-scale battles when the simulation aligns), and a living layer that handles asteroids, ships, stations, and travel all work together so entire playthroughs can unfold in space. It also elevates base-game features like ship stealth, scanners, and dialogue, creating a complementary experience that enriches Starfield’s systems, paces the story, and lets the Settled Systems feel more alive and connected than ever.
What is Mining Conglomerate?
Mining Conglomerate is Quarter Onion Games’ first Starfield Creation within Bethesda’s Verified Creators program. It turns space mining into a deeper, more immersive simulation by having players join (or work with) the Argos Extractors faction. Features include new rich asteroid fields, nebulas supporting gas mining, new mission boards, new ship equipment, and more.
Where can I play these?
Both StarSim and Mining Conglomerate are Starfield Creations. They can be played on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 through the in-game Creations menu.
